Something serious...at my school
«

The words at the bottom of my sig have meaning. I'm involved in a very serious situation right now. Yesterday, an anonymous caller called the school safe line (sounded like it was a parent, who was frightened) and warned that sometime this week, a Columbine situation will occur at our school. A bluff? You'd think so, but personally, I think there's more to it. The school knows more, I just know it. Police are everywhere in the building, K-9 units, we're not allowed to go ANYWHERE during class (direct quote from a teacher of mine:
Quote
If you have to use the restroom, you'll have to do it in your pants.
) they lock the doors from the inside, and today at 9th period, an announcement was made about this. It's not a simple rumor that's going around, it's real. Wednesday is the anniversery of Columbine, so the school thinks that whoever will do this will do it then. My parents don't want me going to school that day, or even at all this week. That's how serious this is. I never thought that something like this would come to my school, but it has, and I feel sick. It was really hard going through today, knowing that in any moment, the worst could happen. Going to a small horror film isn't fear. This is fear. Fear is not fun, it really is not. At least there's a warning, and I pray that it is a joke. If this is a joke, the person making it should be put away. Our school is petrified...some don't show it, but you can tell. Why am I posting this? I don't know...I guess I just want you guys to wish me good luck in this terrible situation, and also, give you a heads up as to why I might act VERY differently for a while. Even at home I tremble...that's how bad this is...So if you hear about a school shooting in the next couple of days...you'll know that one of your charas members was involved. This isn't funny. Anybody who laughs at this has no heart. I am NOT joking to get attention. This is real, and I'm petrified. Anyway...just telling you why I might not be as happy and excited about things like I used to be...

Well, I used to go to Columbine and I pray to god it won't happen again. But it is nearing April 20.

I'm sure what's happening at my school and the one across town isn't as bad as what's going on at your school Ace but, here's my story:
Last month(bout the last week of last month) My school got a Bomb threat....Evacuate school wait until search is over, always a hoax, go back to school. About 25 mins later the principle gets on the PA and says if you walked to school, leave now. If you drove to school, leave now. I was like...you gotta be kidding me. Another threat. so we all got sent home.(this the 3rd one this year). 2 days later a school across town gets a bomb threat. same thing, evacuated, the search, they go back to class. but then for the next 5days, they got bomb threats so now their school was put on lock down, this is similar to what's happening at your school Ace. It's been on lock down since last month.
My thoughts and feelings twoard these events: ****, we are screwed

Yeah that really sucks. Most of the time when theres a serious threat, the school will call the day off. I know a few times when our school had bomb threats, and even though it was a bluff, our school had enough sence to close for the day, hopefully your school will do the same.
Anyway, I hope everything goes alright and that this problem goes away very soon.

Seriously, what is wrong with people these days. It's one thing as a serious concern to give warning, but if it's a joke (which I'm really hopeing for ya at this point) the person who started it should get a couple bricks thrown at them or something. Even so man, at this point, if this kinda stuff gets too threatening, I might suggest perhaps a transfer to a new school or something. My opnion anyway, take no note of this if you don't agree.
Best wishes man.

Well, the sad part is, if they close the school, that means that kid won't have to go either, and so, he/she could just do it the day we go back...but this is the first time anything like this has ever happened. And for safety reasons, though, I'm not going to tell you where I live, and also, if anybody does know where I live, don't say. Thanks for the faith guys, it always helps.

Holy crap, dude...
I hope it's a hoax. And I really hope they catch the guy.
I wonder what the punishment is where you live for calling in fake threats?

Bringing in K-9 units and locking down the school. Probably jail. Juvinile hall, maybe. I don't know. Honestly though, I don't think it's a hoax...

I know for the punishment in my area(cuz the one kid got caught in february) is you are fined $30,000 or more. This is a federal offense so FBI is involved. you are permanantly expelled from the school and there is a court hearing, probably more fines, it goes on your Criminal record..I hope this explains somewhat but I don't know other states laws and I won't know what the punishment is for Ace's area cuz he won't tell where he is, with good reasoning too.

Ace, iīm deeply sorry for you dude...for real. I dunno what this situation means! I've never been through something like this, and iīll probably never will...cuz, I canīt get it! Brazilīs taken for an poor, 3rd world country...But here we donīt suffer from violence like this, in schools! What the hell is going on for God sakes! This' just absurd! How retarded a kid has to be to shoot a bunch of ppl in school? Oh c'mon, even in a 3rd world country, with high income-concentration (dunno if this' the right term in english) ppl donīt go shooting others at school!

and thats y im glad to live in Canada, one of the safest places in the world,. we're not on the edge of any techonic plates, everybody loves us and we're 2 damn lazy to blow anything\anybody up. Except for Toronto.... but its propably just a hoax by some crack addict so that he can get some days off... just dont go to school, get a friend to get ur homework and play games all day hoping for the best.
I blame this on america and technogly. America because now it taught people to hate 1 another and technogly because with it we cant make boombs. like think of 20 years ago ro 50 whatnot, the worst they could do was throw a log through the window and laugh. just don't worry the worlds fulkl of retards who like bombs.
hope its just a hoax....

I'm one who would not be afraid of a situation like this. Maybe it's because I'm prepared to die at any time, I'm not afraid of death, or it's something that happens and you can't really stop it the second it does happen.
I understand your fear though. Don't cave in to your fear. Even if you are in shock, face it with a level head. People who threaten live off of other people's fears, making things like this happen more frequently. Why? Because they notice that they have people wrapped around their fingers when they make a threat and people become afraid. I know it may seem like a hard thing to do, believe me it is, but just try to not present fear and make sure you tell your friends this as well. I've had several threats against my school. Many people were scared, but I just sat calmly, knowing nothing was going to happen, and if it did, then I would do whatever it took to kill the bastards. So, just be careful Ace. Keep an eye on shady people, or anyone as a matter of fact.
