I'm not the most confindent spriter... you guys like these two?

Gallen has the larger sword, Rengard is in armor.

Sometimes I wish I had mindless diversions like that....
Cards.....Skill Icons....Something of that nature.
I try to make things like that for myself to do, to distract myself...whilst still working on the current project....but then I over think how im going to implement it into gameplay....
If anybody ever wants to Code a card minigame or something to that effect, Id be glad to help.Nay, It would be a help, as I would steal the mini game. Thhen somebody else has done the part I lose intrest in. Im not content with doing charsets as a distraction anymore......they bug me.......Theyre too small, and they make my eyes squinty.....At least with cards, I can make a big image and reduce it.....

Don't worry about it. I forgot, I meant to say nice  Bahamut Lagoon edits. I said Rudra...

What will your game be like? Is is position flipping like Tetra Master and Triple Triad, or is it like Yu-Gi-Oh or something?

If your game involves numbers at all, My only suggestion would be to make them bigger so the numbers are easy to see.

No numbers. 5 cards for each player, and the layout is like Triple Triad.

It involves Card Status. Each Card will have 4 points of status. They are:

Element: Either Fire, Water, Wind, or Earth.

Faith: Science, None, or Religion.

Weapon: Axe, Lance, or Sword (subject to change because of FE ripp-off)

Stratagem: Offencive, Defencive, Tactical, or Balanced.

If you place a card next to another card (Left, Right, Up, or Down), a battle will start. If you're attacking a card above you, and your Weapon Type is facing up, then the battle will be based on the defending Card's Weapon Type. If they're weapon type is a type that's even or beatable by yours, you get the card. If not, then you don't get the card, and the turn ends.

This way, there are several combinations to cards and you can battle in several ways. I think this makes your card battling placement more important then the FF games, but card status won't matter as much. Hence, I'll probally be really lazy and only code Five cards for your hero to have at a time.

Tactical Victorys: Each Status has a weakness and a strenght. They generally have one thing they can beat, and one thing they lose to. Those are:

Elements: Fire loses to Water. Water loses to Wind. Wind loses to Earth. Earth loses to Fire. If Water and Earth battle, nothing happens. If Wind and Fire battle, nothing happens.

Faith: If your character is unlucky enough to have the None status, then you're screwed for Faith. None cannot win any battles. Religion beats None, and Science beats Religion. Science is the best status you can have for this, but it's very uncommon.

Weapon type: Axes beat Spears. Spears beat Swords. Swords beat Axes.

Stratagem: Offencive beats Defencive. Defencive beats Tactical. Tactical beats Offencive. Balanced cannot lose or win, so it's a comfort zone basically.

The game ends when all boxes are filled. Rewards are based on how badly you beat the enemy. Again, because I'm lazy, you WON'T be able to select a card to remove from your enemy's hand and place into your own should you win. If you lose, typically you'll fork over EXP or Money. If you win, depending on how gracefully you win, you could get player EXP, Money, Status Jewels (status jewels are like Lvling up. You spend EXP to use the Jewel), Potions, Scrolls, or even Spells.

For the most part, coding the enemy AI will be the hardest thing to do. Everything else is already blueprinted in my mind.

Since Meis kind of talked about his card game, I decided to post something on mine.

My cards look like crap. Even if this is just a mockup, it's too full. I'm still not done with the info yet. :(

If you can figure out what game I ripped this off from, kudos.
