Im here comparing rpg maker games to ps2 games when I should be comparing it to games like... I dunno I was more of a Sega brat... OH I know! Games like chrono trigger and I think was it FF3 or 4 anyways the rpgs from that era(SNES) did also used world maps and they were very successful...
Hahaha I'm not sure I just don't get "fully immersed" into games like that...
I'm just not a world map guy I guess...
But that doesn't mean I don't want to play your game...

Don't worry about it. Everyone thinks this place is about maps only. I posted some CMS screens here first. Meis posted a few. A lot of these maps are too big to be screens.

You know, we should really start making actual screenshots and not just maps.

Mine were actually taken from the "Create Area" function in RM.
If I could get charasets up and more stuff I would take screenshots for everyone, but I will only do that when I get more imput on my last map. Anyone care to look at it(on Page  25 I believe)

ok in your map how do get into some of the doors for example the door with the inn sign over it and the door to the far right bottom corner, the one to the left of the other door.
And hmm try to not make the tree tops so skinny in some parts I guess I'm not very good at critiquing but thats one of the first thing that caught my eye was the small tree tops maybe make them wider...
haha I don't know...

Hmm, I was thinking about redoing some of the tree tops anyway.

As for entreances, it is kinda hard to see But I tried to make it so you get there by stairs, or you can get in from inside the moutain( each house has two entrances one outside one in.) The very bottome one is jsut another part of the house next to it there is no other entrance. You have to go in the hosue and come back out. Ohh and the tree tops are abouve you so you can walk under them. This is suppsed to be like an old moutain town so the people there have lived thorugh many wars and found it easier to live in the mountain with as little entrances to the outside world as possible. So the outside is all complex but once you get in to the mountain(by going in through a house or shop) it is very simple. There will also be areas with monsters between some house that are farther aprt. But I will inform you gusy of that in the game.

Ok It looks freakin sweet but I was wondering if it would be possible to make the blue lady bigger and kind of behind the word stranger and I'm not sure but could I please keep the same background I was going for more a placid feel not really a lost dark one.
I'm sorry I really like it and I'm sure you don't want to make another screen over again if you would like is there a place where I can download the program you made the title with off the net? Then I would gladly do it myself...

YOu ahve to buy Photoshop, or jsut download the 30-day trial. I am pretty sure there is somewhere (liek Limewire) where you can download the program but I wouldn't know that. Seriouls I have never tried to look for it.

It's a 6 hr download on dial-up though.

Wow I just looked back at my last post and it had alot of spelling errors haha.

Anyway, I have DSL with a speed of 11 MB/s so it probably would be like an hour or so for me. I wish I had it though so I could make a cool menu set up for my game.

Man I remember dial up and dsl they were lame I'm sorry you guys have to put up with it I'd share my connection speed if I could .....Hmmm it may be possible but first I will need to gather together the most powerful wizards in Austrialia and then we can cast a seperation spell and KILL BOB SAGET...
