Cut down trees, eat your lunch, go to the lavatory. On wednesdays you go shopping, and have buttered scones for tea.

Sure they do. My dog is catching (and eating) flying bugs all the time. She tried to do the same with birds but she's not fast enough to get them. I'm sure one day I'm going to walk out and find a dead pigeon on my door.

Some dogs don't even know what to do with prey animal they've caught.

And yeah, releasing dogs into the wild is a terrible idea. But that coupled with the fact they don't always end do well in the wild and they just live harder, shorter lives means owning a pet is far from slavery.

Of course, some people are just terrible people and abuse their animals. But that wasn't the point.

Tamed animals don't really survive well at all, they are dependant on us, need our help to get food, and get out to take a crap. Without that security they will find themselves lost. Also , when we give them human food - their asses will explode since the animal body can't take care of all of our chemicals we inject our donuts with so they are fresh till January next year.

Actually, chances are greater that a pack of dogs prey on humans than wolves. Wolves have their territories and their packs so they got it covered. When a dog enters the wild it will do what it takes to survive, living in the street, eating garbage ect. And well, wild dogs are used to humans and will not avoid them.

...Or when people bring their dogs to public places and they're not aware that the dogs are afraid of men/women/small children. This one family brought a German Shepherd to where I work, and it attacked one of the employees (though he's a scary looking guy). I had walked by the dog before and it didn't do anything to me. Dogs generally love me, though. I think they can tell that I like things that are fluffy.

Dogs don't seem to want to leave me alone. I only really like my dogs, so when I get surrounded by other dogs, I get kind of mad. I don't do anything, but I silently wish they'd all catch fire or something.

Burning dogs are far more lethal than wild dogs. RPGs have learned us that.

Just fyi I didn't mean that we should let all the pets free, we've pretty much doomed all these domestic species into becoming what's basically a parasitic life form (like us!).

I just find it funny that people who are so for animal rights and think animals are people.......own animals. That's like owning a person no?

Also since I fail at quoting, to whomever asked if I was a lumberjack, no I'm currently not a lumberjack.
Though I am Canadian and I have chopped trees for money, and heat! (usually while drinking beer, wearing a toque and a plaid shirt... go stereotypes!)

I believe that animal rights people wouldn't claim that they own animals more than parents own a baby. 'Cuz by the way they dress and treat those animals - they might just be their babies. Unconditional love for 10 years before they die. Dogs that is, not babies.

Dressing dogs up = it means you are a retard that knows **** about animals.
Sorry, but thats how I feel. My sister wanted us to get a bow on my dog. I told her to shut the **** up and stop being a retard.
Its a goddamn dog, those things annoy her. She's not even entirely happy having to wear a leash.

oh come on now, my friend put a silly shirt on her little puppy for christmas and it was the cutest/funniest thing ever. Now, if you're talking about people who force their pets to wear clothes all the time, I can see that, but even then, some dogs are acclimated to the cold weather of some regions. I'm serious, some dogs probably appreciate an extra layer of warmth when they go for a walk.

My grandmother has a little coat (it's more like a thick cape, really) that she puts on her little dog when she takes her out for a walk. If she doesn't, that dog starts shivering madly and wants to go back inside immediately. I think it's ok in that case, but I still feel sorry for my old dog, Pepper. I used to dress him up when I was like...5, and he just sat there and bore it like a champ. Of course, I eventually learned that that was bad. He was a great dog, though, to act like he didn't mind me doing that.

Well, there's no good reason for anyone to ever seriously consider adopting a poodle, either.

I put it on pretty much everything.
